Issued for : This year Bangladesh and China jointly celebrates the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. This celebration demonstrates not only the long drawn friendship between the two countries but also the warmth that the two nations have for each other. The celebration of this joyous occasion will contribute to further consolidate the existing relations between the two countries in the days ahead. As part of the celebration of the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, Bangladesh is going to issue a commemorative stamp of Tk. 10/- and a special canceller and China is going to issue a commemorative envelop simultaneously on 17th October 2015.
এবছর বাংলাদেশ এবং চীনের কূটনৈতিক সম্পর্ক স্থাপনের ৪০ বছর পূর্তি যৌথভাবে উদযাপিত হচ্ছে। এ উদযাপন শুধু দু’দেশের মধ্যে দীর্ঘ বন্ধুত্বপূর্ণ সম্পর্কেরই বহিঃপ্রকাশ নয় বরং দু’দেশের মধ্যকার সম্পর্কের উষ্ণতারও প্রতিফলন। এই আনন্দঘন অনুষ্ঠানের উদযাপন আগামী দিনগুলোতে দু’দেশের সম্পর্ককে সুদৃঢ়করণের জন্য অত্যন্ত গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা রাখবে। দু’দেশের মধ্যে কূটনৈতিক সম্পর্ক স্থাপনের ৪০ বছর পূর্তি উদযাপন উপলক্ষে একই সময়ে একই সাথে বাংলাদেশ ডাক বিভাগ আগামী ১৭ই অক্টোবর ২০১৫ তারিখে ১০/- টাকা মূল্যমানের একটি স্মারক ডাকটিকিট এবং একটি বিশেষ সীলমোহর উন্মোচন করবে এবং চীন একটি উদ্বোধনী খাম প্রকাশ করবে।

About :
- Bangladesh and China enjoy excellent bilateral relations. China has been and continues to be a traditional, time-tested and all-weather friend and a dependable partner in the socio-economic development of Bangladesh. Though the two countries established formal diplomatic relations in 1975, the foundation of the relationship between the two countries dates back to more than two thousand years of history substantiated by the exchange of visits by traders, travelers and scholars. Visits of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in the 50s significantly contributed to this historic journey of friendship. Official visits to China by the Hon’ble Prime Minister in March 2010 and in June 2014 and by the Hon’ble President in November 2014 were milestones in the relationship between the two countries. Visits by the Vice President of China in 2010 and by the Vice Premier of the State Council of China in May 2015 to Bangladesh were highly significant in solidifying the bonds further.
- The signing of the agreement of “Closer Comprehensive Partnership of Cooperation” during the official visit of Hon’ble Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to China in 2010 laid out the road-map ahead. Areas for cooperation now include among others trade, investment, infrastructure development, agriculture, education and culture, science and technology.
- বাংলাদেশ এবং চীনের মধ্যে চমৎকার সৌহার্দ্যপূর্ণ দ্বিপাক্ষিক সম্পর্ক বজায় রয়েছে। চীন বাংলাদেশের সব সময়ের বন্ধু এবং বাংলাদেশের সামাজিক ও অর্থনৈতিক উন্নয়নের নির্ভরযোগ্য অংশীদার। যদিও বাংলাদেশ এবং চীনের মধ্যে কূটনৈতিক সম্পর্কের আনুষ্ঠানিক যাত্রা শুরু ১৯৭৫ সালে, দু’দেশের মধ্যে সম্পর্কের ভিত্তি স্থাপিত হয় দুই সহস্রাব্দেরও অধিকপূর্ব সময় হতে ব্যবসায়ী, বিদ্বান ও পরিব্রাজকদের সফর বিনিময়ের মাধ্যমে। বিংশ শতাব্দীর পঞ্চাশের দশকে বঙ্গবন্ধু শেখ মুজিবুর রহমানের চীন সফর এ বন্ধুত্বপূর্ণ ঐতিহাসিক সফর পরিক্রমায় তাৎপর্যপূর্ণ ভূমিকা রাখে। মাননীয় প্রধানমন্ত্রীর মার্চ ২০১০ এবং জুন ২০১৪ তারিখে এবং মহামান্য রাষ্ট্রপতির নভেম্বর ২০১৪ তারিখে চীনে সরকারী সফর দু’দেশের সম্পর্কের ক্ষেত্রে এক বিশেষ মাইলফলক। অন্যদিকে গণপ্রজাতন্ত্রী চীনের উপ রাষ্ট্রপতির ২০১০ সালে এবং স্টেট কাউন্সিলের ভাইস প্রিমিয়ার – এর মে ২০১৫ তারিখে বাংলাদেশ সফর দু’দেশের বন্ধনকে সুদৃঢ়করণের জন্য অত্যন্ত গুরুত্ববহ।
- বিগত ২০১০ সালে মাননীয় প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনার চীন সফরকালে দু’দেশের মধ্যে “Closer Comprehensive Partnership of Cooperation” চুক্তি স্বাক্ষরের মাধ্যমে দু’দেশের মধ্যে সম্পর্কের ক্ষেত্রে এক নতুন দিগন্ত উন্মোচিত হয়। বর্তমানে দু’দেশের মধ্যে সহযোগিতার বিভিন্ন ক্ষেত্রগুলোর মধ্যে রয়েছে বাণিজ্য, বিনিয়োগ, অবকাঠামো উন্নয়ন, কৃষি, শিক্ষা ও সংস্কৃতি, বিজ্ঞান ও প্রযুক্তি খাত, জ্বালানি, প্রতিরক্ষা, মেরিটাইম খাত প্রভৃতি।
