  • Poet Chakrapani Chalise, composer of national anthem of Nepal, was born in 1940 VS or 1883 AD. He was a distinguished writer and poet of Nepalese literature. His compositions are immensely simple, lucid and refined. He was decorated with Tribhuban Award in 2021 VS or 1964 AD by Royal Nepal Academy after his death for rendering his lifelong service to Nepalese literature. He died in 2014 VS or 1957 AD.
