About : 

  • 7,710 metre high Mt. Kumbhakarna (Jannu) is located in the Kanchenjunga Range in East Nepal. Although the first attempt of ascent on Mt. Kumbhakarna was made by a French expedition in the spring season of 1959, the first successful climb was made by two Sherpas (Nepali) and nine Frenchmen of another French expedition in the spring season of 1962.
