  • A 60 yen postage stamp will be issued on May 24, 1982 in commemoration of the 16th International Dermatology Conference.
  • With the International Dermatology League, which consists of Dermatology Associations in every country in the world, as its support, the International Dermatology Conference had been held every 3-4 years. Recently, however, it has been held every 5 years.
  • The 16th International Dermatology Conference, which is the first conference to be held in Asia, is going to take place in Tokyo from May 23 through 28, 1982, with approximately 3,500 participants from about 70 countries throughout the world. These researchers and medical doctors in dermatology will read papers, exchange information and join in discussions together in one hall.
  • The stamp depicts a noh mask against the background of the design of skin.
